      At dawn, lying in bed under my down comforter, I hear the roar of a car racing up the hill. Car week. A driver is arrested yesterday driving 140 miles an hour on our roads.  This morning sounds of sirens, and other emergency equipment. I wonder if there is an ambulance in the neighborhood. Foggy cold morning. I don’t want to get up.  Soon I will have to turn on the heater.

     I worry about becoming too weak. I am not sure how fast to start my PT exercises.  My knee is still sore and I am unsteady walking with my cane. And yet here I am living my life. Today I will walk to my mail box, a huge endeavor.

     We watch the TV series OUTRAGEOUS. It just gets better and better. The story of the Mitford sisters during the 1930’s.  We have one last episode to watch tonight. I hope this series will continue.

     I am reading 2013 book, THE BROTHERS EMANUEL, a memoir of an American Family by Ezekiel J. Emanuel.  I have always been curious about this family after following Rahm Emanuel loud outspoken role in Barack Obama’s white house. Yep, it is an interesting book.
