Two energetic young people with clip boards and matching t-shirts, knock on my front door in the afternoon. The girl starts talking about new AT&T lines being available and could they tell me about this product. No, I say I’m not interested. She keeps talking and I keep saying no. Finally, I close the front door. I should have handled this better.
Tiny black dots scurry across the breakfast tray this morning. With my reading gasses on, I see ants roaming around in chaotic paths. I have avoided them for days but now it is time. They are entertaining as I watch them. I cannot make them my pets. Nope, they have to go, but still, they are kind of charming.
The wild geraniums are in full bloom in the side yard. Lavender flowers every place. The two rock roses are alive with flowers.
MEMORIAL DAYS by Geraldine Brooks is a quick and satisfying read about surviving a spouse’s sudden death. Now, what to read next. In the evening, I watch another episode of THE PITT. So well done.
