      Important women’s protest gathering today at City Hall lawn. Sigh, I wish I could go.  I will drive by and honk and wave. I am getting stronger physically, but am not there yet.

     I have seen almost every newscast by Rachel Maddow this season. I feel reassured that we can survive this crisis after an hour of her reports of what is happening across the nation.

      Another morning appointment with Jack at the rehab program in Monterey.  Still working on balance and stairs. All the PT’s go by their first names. As usual the waiting room is filled with hidden human activities that I love to watch. Inside the treatment room, not so much drama.

     In the evening, I start reading PLAYGROUND, a novel by Richard powers. This is a big intense book. I have been looking forward to reading this book.
