     I struggle with poison oak on my body. Now I have some powerful hydrocortisone cream and Claritin antihistamine pills. The heat is retreating from the patches of itchy skin. Today is Physical therapy appointment day.

     The book ORBITAL, a novel by Samantha Harvey is compelling and exhausting to read. Beautiful words and ideas fill the pages.  Frequently, I have to stop and take a breath. The words are full of love for the earth planet and the earth people.

     Yes, I watch the president’s state of the union long talk. Yes, he is lies about a world that doesn’t exist, his made up world.  Yes, watching his damaging hostile actions are in astonishing contrast to what he says. No wonder we the people are so conflicted.

    I spend the evening wondering the deserts of Botswana looking for killers and bushmen.  I am still reading DYING TO LIVE by Michael Stanley. More fun than watching the news.
