     I discover self published memoirs on Amazon recently. I started with memoirs of doctors in different specialties. I love these books.  My current book is by Martha Thomas, ALL THE BROKEN BODIES, MY LIFE AS A PHYSICAL THERAPIST. These kinds of books are new to me, a fresh look at how people live. They are not controlled and driven by the publishing industry but rather are fresh naïve views of individual lives.

     A friend sent me the link to a you tube video of Laurie Anderson performing THE BARBARIANS ARE COMING. Great music and poetry.  I am ready for new adventures now.

     My cuddly chicken has arrived and has taken her place with the other animals on the table in my living room.

     I harvested the nasturtium seeds and threw them into the back yard, hoping they will take root with the fall rains. I had planted several pots with nasturtiums several months ago. The humming birds frequently visited the flowers.
