The tall man stops by on his way to the gym. Picks up his mail, brings in the heavy amazon box and jokes with me. We both laugh. I show him the tax paper with my new wrong name. He laughs. You know, it is all ok. I am not going to worry about the election or the climate or the excessive acorns on the oak trees. I am going to laugh every day. He does remind me that if I am ever in court, I will have to divulge all my aliases.
I just couldn’t fall asleep last night. I get back up, wrap myself in a blanket, sit in my blue recliner and write in my journal and played another hour of solitaire. I send a message to my doctor about changing the infusion appointments. Went back to bed and slept well.
Tiny nasturtiums leaves are poking out of the soil. Finally, the seeds are growing. Every day for the last two weeks I have checked these special flower pots. Makes me happy.
I am really enjoying Louise Erdrich’s latest novel, THE MIGHTY RED. It starts slowly but now I totally engaged.
