Now, having noticed the crowded acorns on the oak trees, I can’t stop seeing them and wondering if something unusual is happening.  Similar to the sea lions crowding the downtown beaches. The sea lions are responding to the warming ocean. These mammals cluster into large noisy crowds, wondering up and down the coast, chasing the fish.

For the last four years most of my life is lived in this cluttered home, and outside on my back deck and front patio. I walk around the rooms, fix meals, do laundry, take out garbage, clear off surfaces, and sit in my recliner reading books and watching TV.  I am not complaining. Life is safe and good to me and yet, I never thought I would live this way.

I finally finished reading ENIGMA OF CHINA, a detective novel about China. Today I am going to focus on the other two books I am reading. There are two THE DETECTIVE series on TV, a British one and an American one.  Last night I watch the first three episodes of the British show on Prime. I liked it a lot.

Each day I check out the new pots on the deck.  Are the nasturtium seeds actually growing. So far only empty soil. I resist digging in the soil to see what is happening.
