     The tall man and I have discovered a mutual interest in international detective novels. We particularly like ones set in countries that are really foreign to us. Not so interested in western countries. It is good to share books with him.

      I continue to read CHILD 44, a mid 20th century Russian detective novel.  So relentlessly grim. Last night, no reading the book before going to sleep.  No nightmares last night.

     We watch the first episode of season 4 of SLOW HORSES.  Such a fabulous series. Again, we are constrained by the weekly drop of new episodes.

     Spent the day waiting to learn about the photographer’s bike accident on the east coast. We received periodic updates on text. Injured ankle and wrist. Can’t help her when I am 3,000 miles away. Sunny and warm most of the day. Fog hanging out in the distance.
