     The fog lifts in the morning and the day grows hot. I do my usual chores in the morning.  The Meals on Wheels volunteer arrives with food. The noisy garbage trucks drive by and pick up the bins. The house cleaners take care of the house.

     The patient makes a bunch of phone calls, and moves several times from her bed to the living room and back during the day. Sometimes the pain medication works and sometimes not so much. The tall man drops by for a visit. A friend leaves a belated birthday book by the front door. We have a misunderstanding and then make amends.

     I set up meals and wash dishes.  Mostly the house is quiet.

     In the evening, we watch more of the same, BAD MONKEY and DARK WINDS
