Isn’t it amazing that we trust a stranger, we have talked with for a short time, to cut into our bodies to fix something that may be broken. We trust the whole operating team, wearing masks and gloves, to work on our inert bodies. We have a story that says we are really safe and well cared for. Monday my daughter will trust these strangers to treat her lungs. At night in the dark, I see how much of life is based on trust in strangers, and it is frightening.

Once daylight returns the fears diminish and a sense of wonder returns. Warm cereal, hot coffee and the world is functioning again.  The comfortable large recliner arrived and is the living room.  I am waiting for the photo guy to come by to rearrange the furniture.

Started watching apple plus detective show, BAD MONKEY set in the Florida Keys. First episode is good.  I particularly like the views of the Atlantic Ocean, the beaches and the wild life.

Also started reading LAST SEEN IN LAPAZ by Kwei Quartey. The story centers on refugees fleeing Ghana across the Sahara to Libya.  Almost too difficult to read.
