Went shopping at Safeways early Saturday morning.  Joined my cadre of smart limping people avoiding the Labor Day rush.

Saw a teenager on a bicycle, riding down Herrmann drive, wearing a helmet and using both hands taking a selfie. Not sure how long he is going to last.

Balmy late Saturday afternoon.  We went downtown to get some early dinner.  Crowds of families, clusters of friends waited outside most of the restaurants.  Most of the people walking on the sidewalk looked tired and cranky.  I wanted to tell them that it was OK, life will get better.  We ended up at whole foods and ate dinner home in our peaceful uncrowded living room.

Today is our Via Campana Labor Day bar be que.
