I am reading the heavy hardback library book of THE DISTANT MIRROR. Too heavy for my fragile shoulders.  I have ordered the paperback from Amazon.  I just can’t read from kindle although I now see the value.  I love the book and it is a long slow read.

When I order coffee I am asked, light roast or dark roast.  I don’t care. The coffee maker wants me to care.  I use cream and sugar in my coffee. Finally, yesterday I asked for the coffee that is the freshest.  She smiled and said OK. I don’t want to make so many decisions.

I have been giving away clay pots of my blooming geraniums to friends who visit. Now I am looking for more clay pots for a new batch of started plants.

Received another request for help from a woman newly homeless living in a car with two dogs. The requests come through our Fund For Homeless Women website. There is no easy solution.  I refer them to Gathering for Women program in Monterey. There is insufficient housing for low income people. Women are hit hard. Sigh.
