My daughter texted me that she finished MILKMAN, the book I
sent her for her birthday. She found it
slow at first, but now she loved it.
Balmy Tuesday evening, fog has evaporated and the sun is
slowly falling into the sea.
At Lovers point Tuesday morning I watched 6 swimmers start
out together and gradually separate by speed.
Arms rotating into the water and feet splashing. I lost sight of them and then later I saw
them returning. Splashing and moving.
I am starting to read again DISTANT MIRROR, a history of the
14th century by Barbara Tuchman.
I want to be reassured that other centuries have been as difficult as
ours.
