I finished my 2018 taxes.
Signed the papers in ink. The state taxes were harder. Several hours, including putting in fresh ink
in my printer, finding last year’s files and sorting through a box of
papers. The stamped envelops are sitting
by the front door waiting to be dropped in the mail box.
I really like A COMPLICATED KINDNESS, by Miriam Toes. I will read more of her books.
I haven’t driven my car for two days. It sits in the front
of the house. The paint is peeling and the car is dusty. A 2008 Honda Element. The car is 11 years old
and I still think of it as my new car.
Has 55,000 miles on it. I walk
around the car to pick up the morning New York times paper lying in the dirt.
