The green garden hose is tangled.  I watered the potted plants but could not untangle the hose.  It is too long and now in knots and kinks.

New butterflies appeared in the garden.  At first, they were darting white spots in front of my eyes.  I did find one with open wings on a bush.  Oh these are the butterflies that are visiting us in town.

Ate a bowl of fresh popcorn on the front stairs.  The winds started and up and blew over my can of coke.  The laughter of kids playing behind the tall wooden fence near me.

I don’t bank on line.  My visiting banking friend asked me questions about my banking patterns. I buy stamps and pay bills by mail.  I wait for my monthly bank statement by mail. I go into the bank and get cash from the teller. Her colleagues believe that everyone banks on line.  Nope, I said. I am not even tempted.

New book to start, A COMPLICATED KINDNESS, a novel by Miriam Toews, a Canadian writer. I read about her in a recent New Yorker.
