I know it rained last night, I heard the rain on the roof but was it enough for the potted geraniums on my deck.  This morning I am pushing aside the wet leaves to see if the soil is dry or wet.  I get dirty and do not come to any conclusion.  I will wait before I water.

There is a new dog in the neighborhood, a barking dog.  Sounds like a big dog, not sure where he lives. Barks in the daytime. Not sure what I am going to do. Can’t tell if the barking annoys me or the fact that a neighbor has a barking dog annoys me.

I am almost finished with Maisie Dobbs story.  I have other books, some just half read for today.
