The new Maisie Dobbs book is in.  THE AMERICAN AGENT by Jacqueline Winspear.  I can start reading it tonight.  A great comfort book.

I was doing errands this morning and saw: The WE ARE HIRING banner hanging on the side of the Monterey Police Station.  This banner is old and tired and still hopeful.

The north roof of the Monterey post office is now growing a wild green meadow. grasses, weeds cover the roof.

We meet for lunch at Smashburger.  My friends had never heard of this burger place and were not impressed.  Music and machines were too loud for easy conversation.
