Years ago, I work with a therapist on why I don’t dress in better clothes.  As a child I see the women around me sad and angry with their lives.  They wore make up and fashionable clothes. To be happy I learned to avoid make up and fancy clothes. Women’s lives can be very difficult. Today I am glad to be comfortable in my flannel shirts and sweat pants.

I am so excited to meet my friends for lunch at the talented writer’s home. The talented writer is in his 90’s and is active and charming. The four of us have been meeting for years for lunch once a month.  I love them so much. And I came home exhausted.

I am reading a marvelous new biography by Sue Prideaux, WILD THING, A LIFE OF PAUL GAUGUIN. I am so caught up in the book, I am unable to figure out why it is so good. We watch an episode of THE LINCOLN LAWYER and then the latest episode of THE PITT. And of course, the evolving news on MS NOW of the Epstein documents and horrors he perpetrated.

My roommate is sprinkling coffee ground onto her many potted plants. I am on morning dish duty and now have to remember to not throw out the wet coffee grounds. She is enrolled in a Master Gardiner program.
