We watch last Monday’s show with John Stewart interviewing Jill Lepore about her very new book WE THE PEOPLE, a history of the US constitution. Her book sounds so interesting. She says the constitution took twenty years to write. The key is the constitution can be amended as the citizens learn what works. It is an incomplete working document. Has anyone else read her book? Is it the kind of book people should read at the same time and talk about the ideas.
Cloudy fall morning, dogs barking outside. What is happening in their homes to create this persistent barking? Is barking pleasurable to some of my neighbors.
I notice my hands as I work on the computer. My hands are now colorful and winkled. My hands show my 85 years of living, bruised, scared, multicolored and functioning. A couple of fingers bend sideways. I love my hands.
My roommate fixes diner and we watch another episode of SLOW HORSES, a favorite show. I turn off the sound during violent actions. I finally finish EAST OF EDEN, such a well written wonderful book.
