My daughter brings in some of her favorite potted plants to my deck, huge pots. I am amazed she can carry them. I struggle carrying my breakfast tray. The tall man comes to replace the battery of a smoke alarm that keeps chirping. He tells me it is not a smoke alarm but another alarm.
I keep exploring the causes of the extreme fatigue I am feeling. Maybe the strong antibiotic meds or something wrong with my blood or just a slow recovery from surgery and illness. I may never know. I want to name the condition even if it doesn’t cure the symptoms.
We watch a standup comedy show on Netflix in the evening. LEANNE MORGAN, I AM EVERY WOMEN. A southern woman’s look at marriage and family. She is very funny.
At bedtime I start reading a new novel, SAM by Allegra Goodman. But I stop and read the current New Yorker. The story about dental work and Mexican dentists captures my interest. I am still going to read SAM. My fickle reading habits are coming back.
