I splurge on receiving the New York Times paper every morning. A real paper leaving ink on my fingers. A car and driver drive by in the middle of the night throwing the paper onto my driveway. It is expensive and when I am afraid of being poor, the paper will need to go. It is a luxury. I seldom read most of the articles. I m training myself to read parts of the paper on line looking in case I cancel my paper subscription.
I remind myself that I am doing OK living within my retirement income. But it is getting harder. I assume we are all going through these scary times together. The value of money keeps changing. I am losing my ability to know a bargain.
I continue to like CLARKSON FARM. My friends question my taste. They find the Clarkson character intolerable. He definitely is childish and annoying but that doesn’t seem to bother me. I still encourage my friends to keep watching, it gets better and better. It is the best reality TV show I have seen.
THE ACCIDENTAL ASTRONOMY an inspiring nonfiction book, a look at what astronomers are discovery about earth’s place in the universe. We are tiny and the universe is beyond imagining. Time to read more science fiction books.
