MONTEREY IS HAVING THE COLDEST SUMMER IN 50 YEARS. I made up that up headline.  The newspaper report is about San Francisco. It is cold here in my morning bedroom.  I am wrapped in a blanket.  I have been wearing long underwear forever.  I thought it was because I am old and fragile but no, it is the cold wet weather.

I am healing.  I can feel my bladder releasing the painful grip on me. Not great yet but better. I am walking, doing dishes, taking naps, listening to classical music on KPFA radio station, rushing outside at any sign of sunshine. Life continues and I am glad to be alive still.

I do not recommend the novel, THE FIELDS.  Too violent, too confusing. I threw it down, not for me. Watching MSNBC news is easier than reading that book.

The garden hose on the deck is worthless, keeps knotting up and tangling. I have ordered a new hose, recommended by Wirecutter. Watering my colorful plants should bring joy. I am afraid of falling as I try to water the dry plants. I did drag the garbage bins to the street late in the afternoon, garbage day again.
