The meals on Wheels older volunteer arrives with Thursday’s meals. She asks about the big box by the door, a package. I say, too heavy for me. She picks it up, not bad, and puts it on the dining room table. All I want to do is cry and thank her. Such kindness.
I agree with the Monterey weather reports. This June has been the coldest in decades. I am still wearing my winter clothes.
I started reading Stephen King’s latest book, NEVER FLINCH. It is part of a series with a woman private detective. Comfort reading. 15 more library books sit on the dining room table waiting for me. So much pressure.
I am back to THE LAST DETECTIVE, another comfort TV series. It is British and everything moves slower. Easier to follow the stories.
