As the clouds clear and the sun comes out, dozens of birds are circling in the sky. Black in the glaring sun. Maybe sea gulls or crows. I go out on the wet puddled deck to get a better look. Still, I can’t tell who they are, but I can enjoy the unusual sight.
Chilly morning. Need to change the clocks. The one clock in the living room is difficult to change. I hesitate, how long will it take before I attempt it. The clock in my car is always wrong. I am starting week four of chemo treatment and I feel good. My cancer experiences are always in the background of my life now.
My charming gardener friend works on the patio garden. She spends hours pulling weeds, cutting plants back and loving the plants. Another friend comes by to pick up her cellphone she lost at my house.
I am reading the latest legal fiction book by Attica Locke, GUIDE ME HOME, a Highway 59 Novel. Her stories are set in East Texas, a place I know so little about. I am liking SOMEBODY, SOMEWHERE on Max.
