     Sometimes life is just boring, I can’t find anything to focus on.  I sit with this boredom until something comes up. Can I write about the pleasure of listening to KPFA classical music station. I first listened to classical music in college 64 years ago.  Students were given free tickets to the San Francisco music events. In college I took a class on Beethoven’s nine symphonies.

     The PBS list of best 2024 books are on line now, a great collection of books I will not have time to read. I slowly scroll through the hundreds of book picks. What a treat.

     This year I am giving Christmas gifts. Should I buy a gift reflecting my interests, should I focus on what they might like but have not bought for themselves. Or maybe a safe neutral gift. I gave up on gifting years ago, I am ready to try again, sharing what is interesting to me.

     I watch several episodes of A MAN ON THE INSIDE, a light comedy, somewhat silly. Also watch the comedian JIM GAFFIGAN, THE SKINNY on Hulu.  Very funny. The NEWSHOUR on PBS is not funny, life is very serious here.
