Dark overcast morning.  A storm is brewing in the distance. The six a.m. airplane wakes me up. No dogs barking. Yep, for a change, no dogs barking.

My two writing buddies came in the morning.  We have been meeting for years. Now we meet on Friday mornings, the best time for me while in chemo treatments on Mondays. We do two twenty minutes timed writings, and read and talk to each other. I love having them as friends.

I now have fancy gourmet cookies. I finally found where they are hidden in the Instacart menu.

I am caught up in THE LAST FIRE SEASON, a non fiction book by Manjula Martin. She writes about the 2020 massive fires and smoke clouds in northern California and the experiences of living in COVID times.
