I read the food section of the NYT with interest. I stare at the pictures. I am hungry for real food again. I am tired of the food that comes to my house.  Chocolate donuts just aren’t enough. But still chocolate donuts are wonderful.

The new washing machine arrive today, I hope. A pile of clothes and linens are waiting patiently next to the old broken machine.

An old friend who I haven’t seen for two years is coming by today. We are both old and wise and have interesting stories to tell each other.

My brother tells me if I want to stay alive I need to keep moving around. People in my family wear Fitbits.  Hummm. Should I get one? I still have this arthritic knee inspite of a half a million dollars worth of medical treatment. The knee is small potatoes compared to being kept alive. But still a sore knee is a sore knee. This whole medical journey started with a sore knee.
