My favorite New York Times journalist Conor Dougherty writes about housing and homelessness in California. I started reading his work with the 2020 book GOLDEN GATES, fighting for housing in America.  I now have him bookmarked so I can see what he is reporting.  The new wave of folks without housing is coming soon, very soon.

The harsh call of the seagulls circle my house as the crows depart for their evening roost.

The last of the plums are falling from the tree in the back yard.  The quince fruit are ripe and holding on for dear life.

I spent hours on the couch yesterday morning wondering if I had the virus. By the afternoon I was fine.

The new geranium clippings are now rooted and bright pink blossoms are bursting forth.
