Heat wave coming.  Fans are set up.  But still the heat does slow me down. The few clouds in the sky have dissipated.

Blue jays call out this morning.

I am still reading a series of Swedish mystery stories from the twentieth century.  This one is Henning Mankell’s ONE STEP BEHIND.  I have given up reading them in order.  The books are old and hard to find in this pandemic.

Made popcorn late Thursday afternoon and sat on the deck in the shade with the bowl on my lap.  I have some left over for today.
