Last evening, I had a bit of clarity.  I saw how broken life is now. I was awake for hours as I pondered what we need to do to survive. I have no plan this morning. Already I want a nap.

At dawn I saw the black crows flying through the thick fog to get to my neighborhood.

More library books sit on the dining room table as I decide what to read next. Some books I had put on my list months ago.

Charlie, the neighborhood watch dog barks when I come out my front door.  I can’t sneak past him.
