Sitting in my room this morning reading the paper, drinking coffee.  Sounds of Wimbledon tennis drifting down the hall.  Serena is playing my daughter says.

This morning we are driving to Big Sur for lunch at Nepenthe.

Went to Safeways in Carmel yesterday and walked miles up and down the long empty aisles as I looked for popcorn, coffee and other staples.  My favorite grocery store is Grove Market in Pacific Grove, it is just the right size.

Started reading THE BIRDWATCHER a mystery by William Shaw.  Also still slowly reading UNDERLAND.
