On the a table at Sweet Elena’s is the tall tin can vase
with purple thistle artichoke blossoms and white onion flowers.
Drove around the block on Fremont avenue three times Tuesday
morning before finding the new coalition office hidden in a long strip mall.
While dragging my three garbage bins back to my yard my
neighbor asked me about usual Labor Day Barbeque? I don’t know I said. The usual planner is out of town. Who has the stamina and strength to pull it
off? We agreed to have a neighborhood meeting to discuss this.
The new Tony Horwitz book has arrived for me at the
library. SPYING ON THE SOUTH, An Odyssey
Across the American Divide, I loved his earlier book BLUE LATITUDES.
