A friend and I sat talking last night as the room slowly
darkened. No lights on, just the warm conversation and the fading light coming
through the windows.
At the Library I gave my card and two quarters to the young
man at the desk. Time to pay off my book
fine. He looked at the card and said, this is a classic. It is? I asked. I suppose I am a classic too. That was the
end of the conversation as he checked out the three books on hold.
I am reading Jon Talton’s CACTUS HEART, another in the series
of mysteries set in Phoenix. Not sure
why I am so satisfied with them.
Today Brown Bag Zen group is meeting at the Monterey
cemetery for a silent solitary noontime walk.
