     Sunday morning, I drive my car to do errands, take my mail to the post office, refill my car with gas, and spend time at San Carlos beach. Activities I haven’t done in many months, maybe years. I am working on being independent and strong. Monday, is my monthly infusion treatment. I want to rebuild trust with the cancer center staff. My support toy chicken is coming with me.

     I fumble with my credit card at the gas pump and have to ask for help. It is hard to ask for help but I do ask, and get the gas in my car. I am definitely seen as a little old lady.

     At the beach I listen to the latest Ezra Klein podcast about what is happening with our new president. Good talk and I am encouraged.

    I watch two more episodes of the South Korean medical series, TRAUMA CODE, on Netflix.  The show is growing on me and it still is very foreign to me and silly. I also watch a fabulous half hour documentary called THE ONLY GIRL IN THE ORCHESTRA on netflix.
