A blustery wind blows outside my windows this morning, clouds are high in the sky and the sun is coming up.  A group of small birds scamper in the bushes. The cancer center clinic nurses are kind and thoughtful with me yesterday as we work through the chemo treatment. This morning, I am tired but functioning.

When I was a kid in the 1940’’s we all had victory gardens to get us through the war years. I wake up thinking maybe it is time for victory gardens again so we can survive any disruption in our food supplies. Maybe we can take care of ourselves and our neighbors.

I watch an episode of DARBY AND JOAN on acorn tv. And of course, lots of news. The resistance seems to be arising across the country.  We want our country to survive.

I am too restless to read much other than a few chapters of Irvin D. Yalom’s latest book, HOUR OF THE HEART, Connecting in the Here and Now. I love his books.
