Allergy season, old lady season. I walk around with a tissue tucked into my sleeve, into my pocket, on the table. I am never far from a tissue lately. I joke that when I am old I will look like an old Italian lady and walk around town. I would become a tourist attraction. I am getting close .
I did start to watch GROUND ZERO on Netflix. My daughter was the still photographer on the film and I like to see what her work life is like. And yes, I did all the prescribed PE exercises and am a bit sore.
Every night for years, for decades, after working a full day, I fixed diner by 6 each night for my family. I can’t remember what I prepared. The kids say I always made hamburger helper. That can’t be true. Saturdays I did food shopping and prep work. And I cleaned the house. What did we actually eat those thousands of nights. Life is so much easier now.
I am rereading LIGHTNING STRIKE, a William Kent Krueger novel. I love his stories of Northern Minnesota life and am beginning to reread his books.
