     I am up early this morning in the dark. My physical therapy appointment is at 8:45am., a few blocks from my home.  I don’t want to miss out on my coffee and breakfast, reading the newspaper and morning writing.  When I was younger, work started at 7:30am in Salinas.  How did I ever manage. It is a struggle to make today’ appointment.

     During the wild storm yesterday, I consider just canceling this morning’s appointment. I imagine the weather difficulties of getting to the rehab center. I wanted a reason to escape the hard work of physical therapy.

     The other book I am reading now is William Kent Krueger’s novel ORDINARY GRACE. I love his writing. This is one of his earlier books. Thank you librarians, for keeping his work available.

     I am almost done with the series DARBY AND JOAN on Acorn tv. Beautiful images of Australia and good enough stories. And of course, I watch my daily news hit with Rachel Maddow at 6pm. The repair guy says he will fix my broken door knob this morning while I am at the rehab center.
