What is so different about the Hartnell lab waiting room on Tuesday.  The workers are friendly and relaxed. No medical screening to enter. Faces are visible. The key change is the stacks of magazines on tables for waiting patients. I am told they just appeared recently. No one knows where they came from. Maybe the emergency is over. And yes my urine sample was good enough.

Sat in my car at San Carlos Beach listening to the latest Ezra Klein podcast, watching lines of pelicans fly close to the ocean surface. Foggy, cold, and a glimmer of sun light in the distance.

I eat half of cheese and salami sandwich while watching the news.  Later in the day I learn Trump has been indicted for his attempt to overthrow the election. I can’t stop smiling and watching the news shows.

Garbage bins emptied by the loud trucks.  Now a new week to fill up the bins again.  Every week the same task.
