I am excited about a new library book I am reading. HOW TO THINK LIKE A WOMAN, four women philosophers who taught me how to love the life of the mind, by Regan Penaluna. Time to read women’s studies in philosophy.
My two charming daughters and I eat lunch outside on the new patio table. First time for me. Later one daughter pulls a futon out on the deck and takes a nap in the sun.
In the evening we start watching HIJACK, an exciting thriller. We stay for three episodes before going to bed. I have difficulty falling asleep with my mind occupied with images of the terrorists and the passengers.
I avoid taking showers. I put it off until I have no choice. Yesterday afternoon when I was home alone, I took the shower and then started a load of laundry. Almost too ordinary to write about.
