Some blue sky breaks through this morning.  The clouds are rushing in.  It is a contest, blue sky verses fog.

The ten day construction work is done.  I now have a new fence, a major repaired deck, a new mail box, a replaced toilet, new heater filters, back yard weed removal, and new bathroom safety bars. All done by one quiet efficient handyman. I am exhausted even thought my part was to listen to the sounds and to write the checks.   My house will last another year at least.

Started watching JURY DUTY on Prime.  Not sure I like it. I loved the latest Ezra Klein podcast about the history of communes and communities.

In my quest to find a new mystery series I started reading A DEDICATED MAN by Peter Robinson. So far so good even though this 1988 book is a bit dated. The characters keep looking for telephones they can use.  It is hard to remember that that was an issue when I was middleaged.
