I can’t stop smiling as I show visiting folks my glamorous repaired deck and new fence. The handyman is skilled and a strong worker. I hadn’t realized how shabby my deck and fence were. Now I need to find some good used outdoor furniture. The week long shrill and pounding construction sounds are finally over.

The bread baker brings me her latest masterpiece Friday afternoon.  Bread, and kind funny words.

The committee of three meet in my living room to create a class for writers and visual artists to work together. We will keep meeting until a workable plan is developed. It is tougher than expected.

A friend recommends the novel, A TRACE OF DECEIT by Karen Odden. It took some effort to stay with it and now I very much like it.
