         I start a fire in the fireplace, make popcorn and find a movie.  A friend comes over and we have movie night.  DON’T LOOK UP on netflix. She finds the darkness of the show and I like the satire and humor. The fog and cold stayed all day.

         Later in the evening I start reading DINNERS WITH RUTH by Nina Totenberg. Ruth and Nina are my age.  I am deeply reminded of the difficulties for women mid 20th century. I am reminded again that I survived those trying times as a single working mother raising three kids.

         I spent the whole day in the house on Sunday.  Not such a good plan. Today I will go outside and take a walk by the ocean.

         Tuesday I will call the plumber and get the annoying toilet fixed.
