All day dreams of the intense chocolate cake in my mind. Finally in the afternoon I enter Elroy’s store. The cake is squeezed into a small transparent plastic box.  At home I take three bites and am satisfied. Yes, this cake will last for days.

All morning, the roar of cement trucks unloading sludge, fill the air.  My house floor vibrates. At noon, the trucks and equipment and men pack up and leave.

Each day the bright former teenager emerges from her room in a charming new outfit.  New to me. I now live with a talented young clothing star.

         One more episode of CASE STUDIES to watch on prime.  Such intense stories of complicated human lives. I am glad that my life is so much easier.
