Foggy morning. Heater on for a short time taking the edge off the cold. My sister and I eat breakfast in my bedroom with trays on our laps and blankets warming us. We drink coffee and talk about our lives, a usual activity. She is getting ready for a trip to Ireland and France. I am getting ready to walk the two blocks of Alvarado street.
I was inspired by Irvin Yalom books on therapy decades ago. He and his wife, now in their late 80’s, wrote a new book about getting old and sick, my favorite topic. MATTER OF DEATH AND LIFE, by Irvin Yalom and Marilyn Yalom. It is a slow read.
My sister and I are watching EMERGENCY NYC, a netflix documentary about emergency rooms and first responders. Wonderful scenes of New York City. It is still good watching these 8 episodes a second time.
I keep checking My Chart to see if the lab report is back from Thursday’s appointment. I am feeling good.
