My thoughts are loud and insistent keeping me from sleep. Bits and pieces of medical experiences, my stories, are looking for a home in a bigger narrative. A jig saw puzzle with many pieces missing. Finally I get up, turn on the light and read an article in the latest New Yorker. Finally, I am able to sleep.

My sister and I watch the documentary NAVALNY, the Russian politician.  It won an Oscar this year. Not my favorite show but worth seeing.

I found another enticing book STRANGERS TO OURSELVES, Unsettled Minds and the Stories that Make Us, by Rachel Aviv. It hits home for me as I try to piece together a narrative of my last two years with unexpected illnesses.

Soft rain outside. Not much wind in my neighborhood but perhaps, the wind is still on its way. The biting cold is gone and now we have the dampness of the wet earth. Birds are busy outside.  The rock roses are blooming.
