During a break in the rain, I walk down to the end of the block. For the first time I notice the old wooden telephone pole filled with woodpecker holes. It’s a wonder, this telephone pole can still hold all the stretched wires. Then, I watch two woodpeckers in the tall pine tree working on the limbs. They travel together, two or three at a time. They sit apart but are attuned to the movements of the others. They are seldom alone.
Frost on the neighbor’s roof this morning. The sun is shining through the east facing windows. After the first round of heat, I turn the heater off. When my room registers at 57 degrees and I am shivering, I turn it back on.
I feel well again, 4 days after the immunotherapy treatment. I guess I am going to be able to tolerated doing this treatment five more times.
The apricot tree in the back yard has blossoms. It’s an old tree and the blossoms are sparse but still, they show up.
