I found a great medical memoir book. I am so excited. AND FINALLY, Matters of Life and Death, by Dr. Henry Marsh. I read the review in the New York Times and ordered the book. And now I am reading it.
My favorite personal Liberian came over with a chocolate donut and conversation in the afternoon. I gobbled down the donut. My appetite is returning and I am now frequently hungry. Most of the day I am alone.
I live mostly in my house, walking from room to room. I go outside with trash, and to pick up the daily NYT, and my mail. In warmer weather I have the doors open and the outside enters. I miss being outside. When it is warm enough, I sit on my front patio and do my morning exercises and watch the birds.
I wait for a call or a message from the urologist about the treatment plan for the UTI acquired from my last surgery at the hospital. Two writing friends are coming to write with me in the morning.
