The wind howls through the night, A new type of intense storm for me. sporadic loud rain and wind all night. Now the sun is out but the wind is still here. I am hesitant to look outside for damage.  We still have power. I invite friends to my house for heat and meals and recharging devices and batteries.

We have a calm warm Christmas Eve dinner. Six of us. The tall man cooks the food. The roommate provides music while baking cookies. The two talented young adults join in the conversation, and wash dishes. And of course, the cute dog, upset with the storm, stays on the lap of the dog lover. Wonderful evening. And me, nobody expects me to do anything.

After dinner is over and most have left we watch PEEING FOR CANCER on Youtube, a stand up comedian talks about his cancer journey.  A good choice by the young adults. We leave the curtains open to watch the wind storm outside.

No plans for Christmas day. Maybe a drive around town to check out the damage.
