I don’t know what I expected. The procedure goes quickly. The doctor who has been treating me for four years, is efficient, No tumors found, all looks good, see you in four months, unless. And yes, you should stay on chemo for the next 18 months. Bladder cancer reoccurs frequently. I have had recurrences.
Urine pathology report should be out in a couple of days. The visual test is done, but not the microscopic test.
The rest of the day is a blur, nap, do PT exercises, and play solitaire on my computer. Giving my brain a chance to sort through the information. Am I sick? Am I well? Both actually. I wonder what life would be like without the monthly cycle of chemo therapy. And still, I am old, with difficult knees.
I start reading THE HEART OF WINTER, a novel by Jonathan Evison. Not sure if it is the book for me.
