The personal Librarian brings me more new books and picks up the pile of books to return to the library. This kindness is a treat for me.  I am still unable to transport books back and forth. We eat dinner together and tell stories to each other.

During my two months of freedom from treatments I plan on physical therapy to strengthen my body. The doctor has placed the order and now I am waiting for the scheduler to call.  I am pretending that nothing can go wrong with this plan. I keep my cell phone close so I don’t miss the call.

I am collecting ideas of projects and activities for these months.  My impediments are painful knees and fear of COVID. I want the PT to work on the painful knees.

I am now reading, among other books, AMERICAN RAMBLE, A WALK OF MEMORY AND RENEWAL, BY Neil King JR. Inspiring me to look around my own community.
